White wood

White sandalwood (Santalum album) is a tropical, evergreen, low tree, known mainly for its hard, fragrant wood, which is called sandalwood for its specificity.

It is one of about fifteen species of the extensive family of sandalwood. 

USE:

✅Sandalwood oil (essential oil) is obtained from wood chips by water distillation.

✅The heartwood contains about 6% and the roots about 8%.

✅This oil is widely used in the production of cosmetics, medicines (including Ayurveda)

✅As an aroma in the food industry

✅Perfume industry
