Bees wax

Beeswax is a natural product that is created by the metabolic transformation of honey and pollen in the body of some species of bees. In the honey bee, the worker is a producer on the 12th to 18th day of her life.

What exactly is beeswax? Beeswax is the basic building material for the production of bee combs (ie honeycombs or honeycombs). Bees produce it with wax-producing glands in the form of tiny wax flakes. The workers glue these together one by one and build combs from them. 1.25 million small wax flakes are needed for 1 kg of wax.

USE:

  • for making candles - they are more expensive, but their advantage is that no wax comes out of them, because they burn gradually,
  • in the cosmetics industry - for the production of ointments, creams, mascaras, lip balms, lipsticks. It is the wax that is behind their better structure, which is softer and also prevents the retention of oils,
  • as a raw material in the food industry - for example, the production of shiny surfaces of chocolates and other confectionery, for coating baking sheets,
  • as a cleaning helper - Beeswax is an excellent helper when cleaning your household, especially when polishing furniture,
  • in medicine - for example, it is effective in ulcer therapy, even pills are coated with it to reduce the intensity of their dissolution,
  • for colds - it has demonstrable antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects,
  • inflammations of the oral cavity - relieves canker sores, helps with periodontal disease,
  • when making weapons - metals coated with beeswax rust more slowly.
