Apricot
APRICOT is the fruit of the apricot tree native to China. It reached Europe via Armenia. Apricot fruits are drupes with an orange pericarp. They usually ripen in mid-summer. They are consumed either fresh, canned or in the form of jam or marmalade. They are very popular for their sweet-sour taste and pleasant aroma, and they are also popular dried.
