Peru Balsam

Balsam Peru-Vonodrev (Myroxylon) is a genus of two species of trees from the leguminous family, originating from tropical Central and South America. They are known as the source of fragrant Peruvian balsam, used mainly in the food industry and medicine.

Balsam wood has been cultivated in tropical America for hundreds of years as a source of incense and also as a medicinal plant. Nowadays, it is mainly used in the production of perfumes. And this aromatic resin from the tree Myroxylon balsamum pereirae (Pereira's balsam tree), growing in Central America, is referred to as Peruvian balsam.

✅As a natural fragrance in soaps, cleaning products, creams, emulsions and perfumes.
