Where does the bitter orange tree grow? The orange tree comes from Arab countries, from where it spread to Spain under Arab rule. The Spanish brought it to Florida in the fifteenth century, where it thrives very well. Furthermore, the bitter orange tree is grown in India, Africa and also in the Himalayas. Florida is currently the largest producer of the orange tree and its flower is also the official flower of the sunshine state of Florida.

White orange blossoms only bloom for a short time during the spring when the scent of millions of beautiful white flowers wafts across central and southern Florida and throughout Spain.

History: Orange blossom has been used at weddings since ancient China - virgins decorated their hair with it on their wedding day, orange blossoms are also often added to wedding bouquets. This tradition was brought to Europe by the crusaders from their expeditions to the Far East.

The origin of the name neroli for orange blossom essential oil comes from Italy. Anna Marie de la Tremoille of Neroli became famous in the 17th century for her passion for the captivating scent of orange blossom oil. However, Emperor Nero could also make this essential oil famous.

So what do these different essences smell like? Neroli essential oil provides a beautiful, fresh and green aroma, with a floral sweet citrus scent complemented by a bitter spicy undertone. Orange blossom essence provides a more pronounced, deeper and sweeter floral aroma, similar to jasmine. Each perfume enchants with its unique scent, thanks to the combination with other ingredients and the use of different orange essences. Always the same plant - every time a different scent.

Precisely because it is so acidic, it is much more aromatic than other types of oranges.

However, it depends on the methods of obtaining the process of extracting essences from these flowers. Essential oil Orange blossom is obtained using a more complex method of extraction with alcohol and filtration.
