What is Infadolan and what is it used for?
Infadolan is an ointment for external use containing vitamin A and vitamin D2 in an anhydrous ointment base, suitable for accelerating the healing and renewal of the skin in the affected area. Infadolan is used for non-infected small wounds, abrasions, first-degree burns, dry cracked skin, and cracks in skin folds. The preparation is particularly suitable for lubricating dry skin with chronic eczema or skin diseases, in patients with atopic dermatitis, and also for preventing rashes in children and adults. On the recommendation of a doctor, the product is used to treat leg ulcers (to accelerate epithelization, healing of ulcers that have a clean, uninfected base) or bedsores. The preparation is intended for adults, adolescents, children from newborn age, for pregnant and lactating women.
Infadolan contains fat from sheep's wool, which can cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).
Possible side effects, which may not occur in everyone. Exceptionally, hypersensitive individuals may experience an allergic skin reaction (e.g. skin rash, itching and burning).
